Instructions for retracting the SBS DC – Dual Carbon brake pads
If you are changing from another friction material to SBS Dual Carbon, please follow the instructions below carefully:
1. Perform a series of gentle braking movements until the brake pad surface is in full contact with the disc surface.
2. After contact between disc and friction material, repeatedly brake in short bursts so that heat can gradually build up in discs and brake pads until a thin black-dark blue layer of friction material has formed on the brake disc (transfer film ). 3. Give the slices a little more time to cool down before using them properly.
4. Now you can start! Do not clean the brake discs after each session to preserve the transfer film.
Please note when ordering: Price per set. One set = 2 pads. For a fork or two brake discs two sets (4 pads) are necessary! I.e. order two times this set.
