Helite motorcycle jackets with airbags are all triggered by a mechanical system. Thanks to the ripcord our motorcycle jackets are reliable and are not activated unintentionally. The ripcord is like the seatbelt in the car.
FIRST INSTALLATION:
The attachment is very simple and intuitive. However, it is important to ensure that the ripcord is correctly attached to the vehicle for maximum safety and comfort while driving.
First, a suitable place for attaching the ripcord on the motorcycle must be found. For different types of vehicles, the optimal location at which the ripcord is fixed to the bicycle may vary.
The ideal attachment point is a round, stable part of the frame under the seat. The closer the attachment point is to the center of gravity of the body, the more optimal it is. Sharp or hot surfaces on the vehicle should be avoided as they could damage the ripcord.
ATTENTION: The ripcord must not be attached to the handlebar.
The ripcord is looped through the attachment point on the motorcycle. Then the ripcord is attached to the jacket with a quick release. Make sure that the ripcord does not restrict your freedom of movement. If the ripcord is too long, the deployment time of the airbag is unnecessarily increased. Too short a ripcord reduces the freedom of movement and consequently the ride comfort.
After a single installation, the ripcord remains attached to the motorcycle and will not be removed. Before or after each trip, only the ripcord on or staked accordingly. If you own several vehicles, we recommend installing a ripcord on each motorcycle.
